Norkab A/S was founded on a simple yet powerful idea: to help companies in need of wiring production without requiring them to invest in advanced equipment. The founder, Lasse Mouritsen, identified this need as early as the 1980s and started the company with a single used wire stripper and a vision to deliver high-quality, customized solutions.

Initially, production was run from a small workshop at the home address, but in 1991 a partnership with Hydrema was established and the space quickly became too small. In 1998, Norkab was transformed into a limited liability company, and the following year, the wiring harnesses for Hydrema’s machines had become so extensive that a new location was needed. Østersøvej was purchased and the then huge 350 m² became Norkab’s new base.

The company continued to grow, and by the mid-2000s, space was once again too limited. An expansion of 500 m² was completed in 2008, just before the financial crisis hit. The following years were challenging, but by 2010, development started to turn around. Norkab resumed its growth, and in 2022, the company was acquired by Hydrema, marking the beginning of a new chapter.

Today, Norkab is a leading supplier of cable assembly and customized wiring harnesses for various industries. Our expertise and strong partnership with Hydrema have ensured stable growth, and by the end of 2024, we will be moving to a new, modern headquarters in Skagen. From here, we will continue to deliver innovative and reliable solutions tailored to our customers’ needs.
